Just this past June, numerous violations were found at Southwest Airlines by the FAA after an inspection. There were over $300K in fines imposed after finding two serious maintenance violations present.
According to the story posted in the Star-Telegram and written by Paul Moseley:
“The FAA alleges that after the event, Southwest mechanics failed to complete a mandatory inspection to check whether the change in cabin pressure damaged the aircraft and to ensure used oxygen bottles were replaced,” the agency said in a statement.”
While you may not handle the lives of airline passengers, any safety issues in your facility may cause you to be fined, as unsafe equipment and areas could cause injury or in some cases, death to your employees or guests.

One way to ensure that maintenance is done on time and as often as it should be done is by having a schedule in place where it is automatically delegated.
